Members of the Saskatchewan Farm Writers' Association can access financial support to attend the CFWF and IFAJ conference through the following:

Saskatchewan Farm Writers' Association Annual Conference Bursary

The Saskatchewan Farm Writers' Association offers a bursary to help members offset the costs of attending the annual CFWF conference. Eligible applicants include members in good standing of the SFWA who are either self-employed or cannot access funds from their employer. Priority will be given to members who haven't yet attended a CFWF conference. But all applicants will be considered.

The bursary is $1000. Confirmation of conference registration needs to be submitted within one week after winning the SFWA bursary. The bursary can be applied to cover registration costs, as well as transportation costs such as airfare. If traveling by car, the bursary committee will pay mileage based on the current Canada Revenue Agency rates.

SFWA executive will select a winner from eligible applicants via a random draw. Recipients must write a report after the conference to be presented at the SFWA's AGM, and included in the Farm Journalist.
